tiny is the new big

I fell in love with tiny houses around 2012 or 2013, though it took me a couple of years to figure out exactly what I was looking for — and why. I knew I wanted to be extremely mobile and that I preferred aluminum to knotty pine and shingles. No surprise, then, that my first foray into tiny was a 1965 Avion cabover camper — micro-living at only 94 square feet! After more than two years of wandering in the Avion, another vintage camper came my way: a 1978 Silver Streak trailer, 33 feet long — a behemoth in comparison to the Avion!

People sometimes say to me, “Oh, I could never live in something that small.” Sure, there are serious challenges to living tiny, but I’ve also found that a small footprint can translate into a whole lot of freedom and creativity — and some really big adventures….

Here are some of my tips, tricks, and stories from my really big tiny life. Enjoy!
